How to set up a dedicated USB mic

- [Instructor] There are two reasons why I like USB microphones. The first one is, they sound good. They sound very good. And the second reason is they are easy to set up. What could be better? Let me walk you through the basic steps. So here we are looking at a Marantz USB mic. It's the one I actually use most of the time. I'm going to show you another one in just a second, but the setup is easy. You have a cord that goes from the microphone to the computer. That's it, because all the hardware, all the sound interface, all that good stuff is built into the mic itself. So when you get the mic, you'll get a few pieces. You'll see that you have this ring right here, and that ring allows you to connect it to what's usually included in the box, the holder.
