How much light in the background?
- [Instructor] Doesn't make any difference how bright your backdrop is, or background. And I would say, generally speaking, it doesn't, as long as it's evenly bright. What happens sometimes with folks is that they'll have their workspace backdrop, have an area light up. In other words, some light will come through a window and it'll create a streak right here, something like that. When you start getting big splashes of light, then that will draw the eye away from you, because bright areas are attractive to the eye and the eye will go there. So if you have something really unevenly bright in the background, that can cause a problem. Now, that being said, I do like backdrops that aren't too bright. I like to have the light shining on me, not on the backdrop. But that doesn't mean you can't have a bright backdrop. It just means that the backdrop should be evenly bright.
