Histogram options

- Getting a good exposure is obviously important in photography, and one of the most valuable tools when you're out in the field is the histogram display so that you can evaluate your exposures and make adjustments as needed. But, you might not be using the best histogram option on your camera. Many cameras might only offer a luminance histogram where they're only showing you brightness information, but if your camera has an RGB histogram option, I highly recommend taking advantage of that because it enables you to evaluate the individual channels as part of that histogram review. Let's take a look here, first off, I'll go menu setting on the camera here, and you'll see that for Histogram display, I can choose between just Brightness, versus RGB. The brightness option is only giving me luminance information as opposed to color information whereas the RGB option enables me to see all three individual channels, red, green, and blue, so that I can evaluate those channels independent of…
