- I'm sitting here once again with Conrad Eek. Conrad, we have talked in some recent episodes of the Practicing Photographer about how you are adjusting your business to survive in a world of what you described as eroding, an industry that is eroding. I know a lot of people are confused when they're starting out or even after they've got some experience, about how to figure out what to charge a client. I think what you're finding, as the world that you've known it is eroding, more important than what to charge is first understanding where your skill set fits into the market. - I think that's a very good point. I learned a lot about my abilities as a photographer when I started off, I worked in Dallas as a photographer's assistant, where I'd be hired on for a day rate or an hourly rate to assist and establish a photographer on a particular type of shoot.
