- If you've been watching The Practicing Photographer for a while, which you should have been doing. If you have, then you've seen the odyssey that I've gone through of getting this XE2 converted to infrared. That makes it sound like it was difficult. It really wasn't difficult at all. I mail it all, and they converted it and it came back and it worked great, and I've been having a lot of fun with it. I want to show you a particular trick that can come in handy in your infrared editing. I have here an image. I'm not crazy about this image, but it's got a couple of qualities here that are going to serve well for this demonstration, that's why I've chosen this. This is typically what comes out of the camera, a very red looking image. And I might want to convert this to black and white, so I will here in Photoshop throw on a black and white layer.
