A strong network does not just happen by itself. It takes care and feeding like a flower in a garden. How do you build a strong network when you are at the outset of your photography business? In this video, author Skip Cohen discusses things to consider when you are building your professional network.
- A strong network doesn't just happen by itself.…It really does take some care and feeding,…just like a plant in a garden.…Don't just collect business cards.…A strong network is about people you know,…it's about relationships.…In fact, it should almost not…be called a network, but relationships.…Cause that's what a really good network is.…When you're just collecting business cards,…not that you shouldn't have business cards,…not that you shouldn't have a contact at a particular…company you might want to call some day for information.…
Cause if you've got a business card,…you've at least got a live body for contact.…But when you're talking about your real network,…you want to get to know the person,…you want to have a relationship.…Stay in touch with people.…It means you pick up the phone now and then and call.…It means you might send them an email.…Keep in touch.…It's so easy today for us to stay in touch.…But to really have an impact on your network,…use the phone now and then.…Nothing beats a phone call.…Nothing beats a live call from somebody in your network…
