- Every eighth summer, I spend two weeks teaching teenagers at the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute, an incredible multi-disciplinary arts program that's been going on in southwestern Oklahoma for almost the last 45 years. One of the things I love about the program is the students are so talented that every time I go there, I end up coming away really inspired. Sometimes I also come away, having gotten to see students tackling a problem that all photographers face but they're kind of tackling it for the first time and so I get to see kind of an exaggerated version of the problem and that's what happened this year. I saw the students face something that we all face and getting to see how they handled it, was kind of a real lesson for me.
