- [Instructor] There are a multitude of options available when it comes to licensing a stock asset. These are the most common licensing agreements available. Creative Commons is a public copyright license that allows for the free distribution of copyrighted work. Creative Commons does have certain licensing restrictions that require including copyright notices, an artist's name, links or names of the work and other restrictions. Refer to the Creative Commons site for current licensing requirements. At the time of this recording, license 4.0 was the current version. Additionally, anything marked with a cc zero is called a zero waiver meaning it has waived as many restrictions as possible for public domain usage. Despite the name, royalty-free is not free. Royalty-free is a one time fee paid for unlimited usage depending on the agreement.
