Want to know some advanced options that you have with Sony mirrorless cameras? In this chapter, join instructor Richard Harrington and go beyond your camera’s basic controls. In this video, Richard Harrington discusses the things you need to best clean your Sony mirrorless camera and demonstrates how to do it.
- One of the benefits of having a camera…with a removable lens is the flexibility of changing lenses…based upon the shot that you want to get.…One of the downsides is that dust and debris…can get inside your camera,…and that can cause a lot of problems,…particularly if it goes to the sensor.…With your Sony camera being a mirrorless camera,…one of the things that used to keep your sensor safe,…the mirror, is not there.…So it's so easy to get dust inside these cameras,…particularly if you do a lens change in the field,…in a dusty or even a standard environment,…and even more so if you forget to power off the camera.…
Because when this is powered on,…the sensors electrically charge, so it pulls it in.…So there are a few things you can do.…First up, there's a built in lens cleaning option,…right in your menu.…Let me show you.…Just turn your camera on, and we'll flip this up here…and go into our menu.…Now take a look at your Setup menu,…and you'll see Cleaning Mode.…What you can do here is enter an automatic sensor clean.…
