Chapter introduction
- In this chapter we're gonna talk about the basics of image storage management, image editing, and backup. We'll be using a variety of tools, but the purpose of this chapter isn't to teach you how to use any specific tool. It's more to give you the foundation so that you can use whatever tools you want. We will, of course, be using specific tools here so you may decide to use the ones that we're showing here today. But the landscape of image editing tools and image management tools are changing all the time. There's always something new coming out, and so if you see something that you like, you should take a close look at it and see if you can apply what you learn here to anything else on the market. We'll be using software on both desktop and on mobile. And much of what we talk about today will be available cross-platform, both on Mac and on Windows, iOS and on Android.
