- For most typical photographic scenarios, if a battery's running low, it's no problem. You just put another battery into the camera and continue shooting. But what if a battery is just not providing enough duration, enough power for your camera? Well, there is another solution that can give you essentially full-time power to your camera, and that is a camera adapter. Certain cameras have this available as an option, and so you can essentially abandon the battery altogether and use the adapter. So this adapter plugs right into the wall, and then the other end, it actually looks a lot like a battery, and that's because this goes into the battery slot on this camera. There's even a little access door so that I can close the battery door and still have that cable sticking out. And now my camera is essentially plugged directly into the wall through my power adapter so that I'm able to use that camera for extended periods of time.
