- This week on The Practicing Photographer we're going to dim the sun and we're going to do it without extinguishing all life on the planet, because we're going to use strobes to do it. You might have seen this technique before, it usually comes under the name of high speed sync photography and we've covered that here I believe at The Practicing Photographer. For sure we've covered it in my, well not for sure, in one place or the other, either in The Practicing Photographer or in my flash course we have covered high speed sync. We're going to talk about it today but I'm going to assume that you understand the basics of flash photography. If you don't, you need to go watch my flash course before any of this is going to make sense to you. So maybe you've tried high speed sync before, you've certainly seen the look.
