- Last week on the Practicing Photographer you saw me add a small LumeCube light to a DJI Phantom 2 to give me a lighting platform that I can use for night shooting. So this week I wanna show you how I'm actually go about taking a picture with that light modified drone. I am out here in the middle of nowhere in the dark. We've got a pretty hefty light here lighting me up, because it's really, really dark out here. And I found something I wanna shoot and the first thing you gotta know about doing this kind of shooting is you can't go looking for things in the dark, you gotta do your location scouting in the daytime, because the kinds of things, the places you wanna shoot are going to be very, very dark, that's the point, you wanna throw light into them. I would never have spotted this driving around here right now. So I came out this morning and drove around, just looking at the map for places that might be clear areas, and I found this lake. And I actually took a shot this morning…
