- In March of 2016, two linguists published a study in the journal, Public Library of Science One. They'd spent some time researching the personality traits of those people who are particularly annoyed by grammatical errors. In short, they found that people who get picky about grammar are usually jerks. Okay, jerks, probably wasn't the word they used and I don't know if it has any particular meaning in linguistic science, but I think that's still a fairly accurate summation of this study. I'm bringing this up now, because I'm about to spend several minutes talking about the misuse of the phrase "full frame". And there's a good chance that it's going to make me sound like a jerk. And while there may now be science to back up the conclusion that I am, in fact, a jerk. I'm going to say right now, that I'm okay with being called a jerk in this case, because I think it's actually important to get picky about that particular phrase.
