- Aerial photography is so much fun, it's such a thrill ride, and you really can create unique images. Before I sign off I just want to share and remind a couple of those key factors. Establish a relationship with the pilot. Word of mouth is great. For example, if you find yourself in New Zealand, Milford Air and the pilot Antony, I highly recommend them. So talk to other photographers who have had that experience and do some research. When you get on that plane, have your batteries and SD or compact flash cards handy. Be able to grab them. Work on the technique of changing your ISO and keeping an eye on that shutter speed. Make sure you have a strap for your camera so it's around your neck nice and secure. These area all things you wanna just repeat and get in the habit of doing. Now you don't have to do aerial photography just in New Zealand. You can do it anywhere.
