Getting the sunset shot and wrapping up at the lake

- I wanted to get an image of the clouds with that gold yellow color. And a line of photographers was starting to form. So I asked permission for about 60 seconds, they were kind enough to say yes. I was able to get close and get a composition that I like. But as more photographers came, we established a line. And so shooting from that line, you have certain limitations. I used a wide angle lens, but I shot a lot zoomed in to 36 mil full frame equivalent in order to get closer to the tree. I would have loved to use my feet to get closer, but the reality is when you're shooting at golden hour at an icon, you have to work together as a group. And you don't get to just cut in front of people, you have to communicate. It's really important. As a landscape photographer, you definitely want to be friendly, and you want to communicate. If somebody's in your shot, you need to let them know they're in the shot. So I think this group worked really well together. At the same time I didn't get to…
