Documenting the events unfolding
When photographing a wedding reception, one of the things that you want to a plan for ahead of time is what events will be taking place during the reception. You can easily find this information out beforehand by talking to the bride or the groom or maybe the wedding planner. What I mean by events is this. Typically, there's a certain flow to a wedding reception. Perhaps first there are appetizers and then there's dinner, there's a meal. During the dinner the best man will stand up and give a toast or maybe the maid of honor will stand up and share a few a few important words or maybe one of the bride or groom's parents will say something. Then of course there is the cutting of the cake and the bridal bouquet toss or whatever those events are, you want to make sure that you're documenting those events, because typically, it's really significant people who are involved.
