Photographing at the blue hour

- One of my favorite times to photograph at night is in the blue hour. Actually, it's not necessarily an "hour", it can stretch many hours, depending on the night. But that's the time of night, typically right after twilight time, in the early hours of the night, when the sky is rendered in a photograph as this really beautiful, deep, deep blue. It really is quite an enchanting blue color, and I love to shoot during that time of night. Now, in terms of when the blue hour is, you know, it varies. If there is no moon up at all, it's typically gonna be in those very early hours, maybe just an hour, right after twilight. So, it's after the twilight time, maybe part of the later part of twilight. But if it gets much later when there's no moon up, the sky is gonna be rendered as very, very dark. It's not gonna have a lot of color in it. Unless you're using a very, very long exposure time, and them sometimes you can coax a little bit of color out. We have a moon up, such as we do tonight…
