Finding compositions in the daylight

- I'm driving around out in the Anza-Borrego area, still in the desert area here, I'm looking for potential composition I might want to explore during the week, and even though this is a night photography project primarily it is important to spend time to go out and find those compositions during the daytime just cause you can see but there's no specific type of location that is quintessentially perfect for a night shot. Unless you're talking about cities or something that are lit up at night and look nice and bright like that. At the moment I'm not really seeing anything that is rockin' my boat too much in terms of potential here. So I think what I'm gonna do is head out to the Salton Sea and catch the sunset out there and see what I can find at that location. So, I'm here at Bombay Beach on the eastern shore of the Salton Sea. This is obviously an area that has seen better times.
