From the course: Real Estate Photography: Marketing Pricing and Client Relations

Welcome

- Hi, I'm Scott Hargis. You know, I've spent a lot of time teaching real estate photography. Lighting, lenses, that kind of thing. But there's this whole other side that rarely gets talked about, the underside of the real estate photography business and it's the business stuff. The contracts, the pricing, all those things that few people ever talk about. You can get the technique in lots of places, videos like this are good, my book is a good resource, and of course, you can see the end result on public display almost anywhere you look but this thing in the middle, this black box, few people want to discuss it. So today, we're going to talk about real estate photography but I'm leaving the camera behind and we're going to discuss contracts, I'm going to show you invoices, we're going to discuss licensing text, copyright, and also, marketing and ways that you can get into and back out of trouble with your clients. Everything isn't always smooth sailing and you've got to be able to deal with it when it comes up. So follow me, we'll go to my studio and I'm going to lay it all open for ya. I'm even going to bring in a real live real estate agent and get her perspective on these things. It's going to be a lot more fun than it sounds like, so follow me.
