- Now you've established your pricing system. The very next step you need to do is to develop a contract. You never, never, never want to work without a contract. Even on these low dollar, high volume real estate shoots. And I'll talk about how to make that work in a second, but I just can't emphasize enough the importance of having your terms in writing, so that there's no going back and questioning it later. Nobody said, "Gee, I never knew that," or "I never knew the other thing." it's all written down. Contract is so important. I think I mentioned earlier that when I first started in the business, and people were talking to me about licensing images instead of selling images, and I was just like, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever." But the first thing that really did come home to me, in a personal way, was the importance of having a contract.
