Working the street scenes in Chinatown

- We've come to China Town, now China Town's a place I don't know very well, but I do know that it's visually very interesting, it's colorful, there's a lot going on, and for me, when I'm wandering around, not knowing where I'm going, and just being attracted to what I see, following the light, looking for interesting people, I mean that's what street photography's all about. It's about discovery. We don't know what we're going to encounter, but we're hopeful of course, as we always are. But you know, in a place like this I'm sure there's great pictures waiting to be had. So I can't wait to get in and start shooting. I'm always very conscious of the light, because light is a major player in my street photographs. So I'm watching the light and I can see that the sun is about to dip behind the building over there which means that this area's going to go into permanent shade. I know there's still some good sunlight left, so I'm going to find a spot that the sun is not going to be blocked…
