…So, I've finished up Ashley's gallery, and I have that emailed off to her.…And in the meantime, Max wanted to come by and, take a look at…his images, which is great, because I have his gallery ready to go too.…So, we're here in my studio, and this is where I generally meet with clients.…If you don't have something like this, coffee shops work great.…And in fact, I still use coffee shops sometimes for clients…that are kind of far away and we meet in the middle.…
I call them my regional offices.…So but Max is local, so we're going to meet right here.…And how you doing today?…>> Pretty good.…I'm doing good.…>> Great.…Good.…So, are you ready to look at some shots?…>> Yeah.…>> So here's the way we're going to do this.…I'm just going to motor through them at a pretty good clip.…We have about, 39 shots here.…So, you see something that you like, it's not like a final decision or anything.…I mean, you'd say, I kind of like that…one, then I'm just going to write that number down.…>> Okay.…>> And, and we'll just do that as we go through.…
In this course, photographer and educator Derrick Story details the art and the process of modern senior portraiture, from working with the subject and his or her parents to plan a shot list, to shooting indoors and out, to delivering the final shots. Along the way, he examines gear and workflow considerations, including lighting, sharing proofs, and post-processing.
And because senior portraiture is a potentially lucrative business, the course concludes with a discussion of various business angles, including developing a pricing strategy, connecting with local high schools, marketing through social media outlets, and more.
