Putting concepts together in a more complex shot

For this movie, lets put together everything we just talked about into one single shot. So lets look situation that I have here. To start off the hardware, gotta nice big solid tripod holding the camera so I dont have to. I've got my Canon 5d Mark II with a macro lens on it. And I have added one more piece and that is a spacer ring in here. This actually allows me to get even closer than I normally could with that macro. So that's all in place. I am lighting the scene with this off camera strobe, and it's off camera because of the cable here, and this is of course necessary for doing any kind of macro or close-up work because the flash, if it's on top of the camera isn't going to hit the subject, so this way I can put it wherever I want. And as you'll see when I do the picture, we're able to move this around and try out different positions and see how that looks.
