Three-axis motion

Three-axis motion

With this set up, we have three axes of motion. First, we have our truck or dollying motion that allows us to basically go left and right as far as we'd like. Sometimes, I find that just this motion is all I really need to accomplish what I'm trying to accomplish in my shot. Our next motion is the panning, which provides a side-to-side, left and right type of movement to our time lapse. And lastly is the tilting, up and down. I can choose to use one, two or three of these, but I particularly like the results that I get when I'm using all three of them together.
