…Now that I have my selects ready to go, and by the way, Ashley did a…great job, I just have to say that I really enjoy looking at her photos here.…The next step is to move these images out…of my Aperture library, or Lightroom, or whatever you're using.…And move them somewhere where she can see them.…So I'm going to use SmugMug.…I like SmugMug because it's attractive and if…I need to, I can password protect the gallery.…
Some parents ask me to do that, some don't.…I give them the option up front in…Ashley's case not necessary but sometimes they want that.…So I'm going to export out of here.…I'm going to export at 2048 on the longest side,…that's a happy medium, it looks good on social…media, they can make a five by seven print and the, the size isn't too big to manage.…And then after we export those files out of here, we'll pull them onto SmugMug.…And they'll be ready for Ashley, so let's get to that.…
I'm going to select all these images right here.…And I'll just go up to Export, and go to Versions.…Again we're in Aperture 3.5 right here.…
In this course, photographer and educator Derrick Story details the art and the process of modern senior portraiture, from working with the subject and his or her parents to plan a shot list, to shooting indoors and out, to delivering the final shots. Along the way, he examines gear and workflow considerations, including lighting, sharing proofs, and post-processing.
And because senior portraiture is a potentially lucrative business, the course concludes with a discussion of various business angles, including developing a pricing strategy, connecting with local high schools, marketing through social media outlets, and more.
