- Here's a pro tip that will literally save your neck.…Paris is a great city for walking, great city for shooting.…We're averaging ten miles a day not even trying.…If you're doing that with a camera around your neck,…you're going to know it, you're going to feel it,…and especially if you get sunburn; not happy.…My two favorite ways to solve this are with a sling strap,…and this is a Luma Labs sling strap.…It's sort of a rifle carbine kind of strap,…and the camera slides on it very quick…and easy and over your shoulder,…and it distributes the weight really well.…
Another favorite of mine, in fact my most favorite way,…is to wear a day pack, carrying my stuff,…carrying extra water, an extra lens or two, whatever,…and use a carabiner to clip my camera…onto the day pack itself.…I literally do not even feel like I've got a camera on me.…It's fantastic.…Both of these ways are very secure.…If you've got a camera around your shoulder…on a normal strap, you could conceivably lose it…to a quick guy, runs through the crowd, he's gone.…
