Parting thoughts about Paris

- I've been coming to Paris for the better part of 20 years, and this is the time when I'm always pretty sad because leaving here is actually a downer. It's an amazing city. I would say that some cities, some destinations, aren't for the faint of heart. Paris is not for the faint of wallet. You're going to spend some money while you're here. You're going to spend a lot of euros, and just be prepared for that. Don't let it ruin your vacation. Save up for it. Maybe close your eyes and pretend you're spending dollars instead of euros which are like $1.40, and it's still going to be a little more than dollars, just expect that. Another thing to think about, especially as photographers, is Paris is a city where petty theft and pickpocketing is a problem, and I'm not saying that to scare you because it's not, like, a guarantee you're going to get lifted while you're here. But as a photographer, you're traveling with some possibly expensive stuff, hopefully not too much. Be aware of your…
