How do I decide the best way to mount a camera?
So, now it's the day of the shoot, or maybe it's the day before the shoot if you have the car or whatever you're mounting to. But sometime before you actually have to start rigging cameras you want to give yourself some time to think about how you are going to go at it, what the camera positions are. And one of the best ways to do it is, is to create visual references. And I use a little camera, could be my DSLR, it could be the GoPro, it could be one of these little point and shoot things. And I just go through the positions. I might do it on my own or I might do it with people who might be assisting me later, or maybe the director. And I just give myself some time to think about where I'd like to place a camera, and I'll actually take a reference still of each camera position. And then consider how I'm going to mount it. And I can look at the stills later or I can, I can sort of take some time and do it on the spot. Now I'll just work my way around the car considering what might be…
