How bracketing can save your exposure

Bracketing is a technique that photographers will use to ensure that they're getting a good exposure in their photography. And in our case, craft photography. So, I have an image here on the screen that I took several photographs of before I found my perfect exposure. And I know that I have a great exposure because if I open up the Curve palette, I can see that it's got distribution between dark and light. And if I open up my levels, I can also see here that in this histogram, there's a nice distribution between the darks and the lights in this image. But how did I achieve this? It took me awhile to figure out exactly what exposure I wanted to get when I was shooting these rings. Because I was in a very dark wooded area, and there was dappled light. So, when you're in a situation with tricky lighting, bracketing is a technique that can help you find your perfect exposure with just a few simple steps.
