- So whenever we're traveling, we're always looking for those moments where we can double dip, being a photographer and actually spending some quality time with the family at the same time. This week in New York we have a theme of kind of going on the cheap, and this fits that perfectly. We're at the bottom of the tip of the island of Manhattan, and we're right near the Staten Island Ferry. But before we're heading out, we're taking a quick view of the Statue of Liberty, and that's exactly what we're gonna go past on the Staten Island Ferry. This is one of New York's best-kept secrets for out-of-towners. So here's the deal. It goes between Manhattan and Staten Island. It leaves every 25 minutes. It takes about 25 minutes to get there.
