- Alright, so eating in London's going to be pretty expensive. Here are my two favorite tips for getting around the high cost of eating in any big city, really. First of all, and this is what we're doing right now, is get out of the center of town. Get into the more ethnically diverse areas of town, and go ethnic. I asked someone, "Where's the best ground-level "Pakistani restaurant in London?" and the guy immediately said, "Lahore One on Commercial Road" so that's right where we went. The locals know. The food here is fantastic and you couldn't get horrible food in the center of London for what we're paying for this. I love eating ethnic everywhere I go and I don't mind eating outside of the area that we're at. Like London, you think fish and chips, bangers and mash. No, London is very diverse and frankly, you're going to find fantastic food from all over the world here, but you have to be willing to look for it.
