working with color sets

- The last aspect of color that we're going to look at is the Color Sets feature in Corel Painter IX. A Color Set is, basically, a way for you to choose and store a series of specific colors. Now, why would you want to do that? Sometimes you're going to work on a file and you're going to really like the colors that you're working with and the easiest way to save them so that you can use them, either in another project, or continue using them on the same project is to save them in a Color Sets file. You can see here there's a Color Set open in Corel Painter IX.

Another example, you may have a client that gives you very specific colors to work with, perhaps it's to reflect their corporate colors. In that case, not getting confused by the sheer volume of colors in the Colors Palette or the endless possibilities of color you can mix in the Color Mixer, being able to limit yourself to a specific set of colors can often be really helpful.
