- [Instructor] Painter is a very complex application due to the fact that it has multiple brush engines within it. Painter does have a lot of different controls and things that you can set at various times and without knowing it, you may inadvertently do something that when you start to try to paint, the brush doesn't work and I'm going to show you a few of the examples of that and then I'll show you a PDF that I have that's in the folder for this chapter that you can refer to that has a whole list of possible reasons the brush isn't painting. Let's say I want to go ahead and paint. I'm going to select one of my favorite colors here. I like kind of between blue and cyan, so I've got that. I'm ready to go and I start to paint. Oh, nothing's happening. Okay, what should I do at this point?
