- [Instructor] There are occasions while drawing when you require enhanced precision, following existing strokes and rendering at a small scale are examples. There is a panel available that does this and it is the Smoothing panel. It is probably one of Painter's best kept secrets and we're going to take a look at it now. Now what got me thinking about this recently was that if you use Photoshop at all they've put in a feature called Smoothing and it does this, it's much more robust in that it does a lot, but it turns out that you can do the same thing by taking advantage of the Smoothing panel in Painter. Even has the same name. And let me just explain a little bit of what we're seeing here. Cubic interpretation is a feature that is not as needed as it used to be. What happens is if you think of the data coming from a Wacom tablet like a fire hose, as you turn this up you can insert more water into the hose essentially.
