Painting from life often means getting out of the studio environment and working in plein air, which is a French expression for painting outdoors. Considering the portability of today's tablet technology, this is an attractive painting from life option. While we'll be working with our in studio still life, let's take a few minutes to talk about digitally painting in plein air. First off, find a location in which you can work in the shade if possible. This it to provide maximum brightness of your tablet display.
