Applying the Woodcut filter
- [Narrator] The woodcut filter isolates edge detail and enables a wide range of modification to these edges. This will reintroduce the high frequency detail in a graphic fashion. In this video, we are not going to go for a woodcut appearance as much as a line drawing. The resulting art will be overlayed on the previously simplified photo. This combination produces a compelling graphic style. Let's get graphic. So we've got our first iteration of the image, where we've drained out some of that high frequency detail. I'm going to go ahead and make a copy of this. So I'll just select all, copy, paste. And we'll call this detail. And now lets apply the woodcut filter to it. So we'll go to effects and if we go to surface control, woodcut. Now, let's just talk a little bit about this. 'Cause there's a lot you can do with this, and I'm going to use it very specifically.
