From the course: Learning Composer, the PHP Dependency Manager
Welcome
- [Morten] Need to use Composer, the dependency manager for PHP, but don't know quite where to start? You've come to the right place. I'm Morten Rand-Hendriksen, and over the next hour or so, I'll take you on an in-depth tour of the tool that makes installing and managing dependencies in your PHP projects a breeze. We'll start with a brief introduction to Composer, what it is, and more importantly, how to get it to work on both Mac and Windows computers. Then, we'll take a deep dive into how to use Composer to install and manage packages in PHP projects, and finally, we'll discuss how to use version control to manage Composer projects. If you work with complex PHP applications and frameworks, Composer will make your day a lot easier. And I'm here to show you how to get it right. So, grab your baton, tap the conductor stand for silence, and let's get cracking!
