Install Apache on Windows
- [Instructor] To install Apache, MySQL, and PHP on Windows, you can choose from a number of different AMP stack bundles, but for the most customizable environment, you might want to install individual components that come directly from the software vendors. I'll start by showing where to find the files you need to install Apache on Windows. Even though the Apache foundation manages the server, it doesn't provide a fully compiled installer for Windows. Instead, use the distribution that's managed by this organization, the Apache Lounge. Go to their download page, shown here, and then download the zip file for your edition of Windows. There are versions for either 64 or 32 bits. I've already downloaded the 64-bit version to my desktop. You'll also need software from Microsoft.
