Creating a spreadsheet in the OpenDocument format

OpenDocument format is an international standard designed to eliminate the problems with vendor-specific formats for spreadsheets, presentations, and word process documents. It's used by open source suites, such as Apache Open Office and Libra Office. What might come as a surprise is that it's also supported by Microsoft Office Ever since Office 2007 for Windows and Office 2008 for Mac, document contents are stored in a portable XML format designed to be interoperable with other software. It's not identical to the format used by Open Source Office Suite, but it's broadly compatible. In the exercise files of this video, there is a copy of cars.xlsx, which was generated by PHPExcel. If I right click it, I can open it with OpenOfficeCalc, and it displays absolutely perfectly. I can also open in LibraOfficeCalc.
