Creating a .odt file to use as a template
This webpage displays a selection of flower arrangements drawn from a database result. In this chapter, we're going to create the necessary files to download the same content including the images as an open document text file. This page has a main heading, then each section follows the same pattern - a subheading, an image, price and a series of descriptive paragraphs. We need to create a template in an open document text editor to replicate this layout. It won't be exactly the same, but it'll be very similar. I'm going to use Apache Open Office Writer. You should be able to use any open document text editor, but some details of the XML code generated by other editors might be slightly different. So we need a text document, and at the top change the style to heading one and type the main heading, Flower Arrangements. Then after Flower Arrangements, we'll have second level heading, and this will just be a placeholder, so just type Title and a new paragraph, insert picture from file…
