- [Instructor] So before we move on, there's a few more techniques that I want to touch on using the Exciter. So I'm back to our A440 sign wave here, and let's just play that again. I have tape saturation enabled, and let's just check out the Exciter, and see what's going on as we play back this file. (long beep) You can see that in addition to the main kind of peaks here, we have these other little transients that are happening kind of next to our main harmonics. (long beep) Now essentially that's adding a little bit of distortion, and in many cases that can sound good; but there are sometimes when you don't really want that, and you want just kind of more clarity in your harmonic content. (long beep) So if you come over here to Oversampling, we can see that that's now turned off, and you can see this little pop-up here. If we turn it on it'll increase the quality, but it will require more processing power. So this could be taxing on your computer, but in some cases it will sound…
