Join Gini von Courter for an in-depth discussion in this video Using the Calendar with shortcut keys, part of Outlook 2013: Tips, Tricks, and Shortcuts.
…So, here I am in my calendar, and we've been using some…of the shortcut keys from Windows and the other parts of Outlook with impunity here.…We've been cutting and copying and…pasting and selecting, but there are some shortcuts that are unique to the calendar.…For example, here in Week view, if I am sitting…up in the events area at the top above the time grid,…and I move from left to right, I'm moving by day.…
If I hold Alt and use the up and down arrows, I'm actually moving by week.…Now, the downside of this is that it's showing me the time frame that…I'm in right now, and it's evening here.…But if I change, for example, to a 60-minute view.…I can actually get a pretty good view of much of the day,…still working here from the event.…So, if I hold Alt and…press down, now I'm basically reviewing my whole calendar a week at a time.…
That works.…I'm going to change my time scale back to 30 minutes at a time.…That's probably the least impressive of all of the shortcuts, because I actually…like being able to use the shortcuts that will switch views for me.…
