If you have a "boilerplate" Outlook email message that you customize lightly then send to various recipients, save that message in the Drafts folder. When you need to send a version of that message, right-drag a copy of the message to another folder, then complete and send it.
- [Narrator] If you're creating a new message … or working on a reply and you walk away from it … or just spend some time working in Excel or somewhere else. … Outlook will automatically save a copy … of your work in a drafts folder. … And if you close it before that happens, it'll actually ask … do you want to save your changes? … And if you say yes, those changes will be saved … right here to the drafts folder. … So that I can return and begin working … with this message very easily. … It's right here, ready for me to continue working on it. … But there's a trickier use for the drafts folder. … Not something that you would automatically think of … if you think of drafts as just the place … that Outlook stores things that are in process. … If I create an email message that I need … to send to a number of people. … For example, I'm sending everyone a message … about our hiring processes. … And everyone is going to get … a similar version of this message, … I'm going to add some text here. …
