Outlook power tip #5: You can populate the Outlook People app peek with Favorite people so you can quickly view their current status and free busy information, or send an email or direct message—all without needing to switch to the People app. Use of the People peek is demonstrated in this video.
- [Narrator] While the Calendar and Tasks Peeks have … information in them already, … because I have calendars and I have tasks, … the People Peek always starts out empty, and the contents … of the People Peek are what is called Favorites. … This is a little problematic, because we also have … a favorites list that is a list of folders, … and in Outlook on the web you can add people to that list, … so this could be a little bit confusing, … depending on which Outlook you're working with. … But think of it this way: everyone I want to have … appear on the People Peek, I need to favorite them. … And there are two easy ways to do this. … The first is I can search for someone. … So I spend a lot of time talking to Rob Molina, … so I'm simply going to start typing him in, … and I'm going to find him, he's right there, … and one of the activities that I can do by clicking … the more button on Rob's card is to choose add to favorites. … And now Rob is right here on my favorites, … and my favorites are also open here on the right. …
