Learn how to launch Outlook for the first time, what to expect when adding an Exchange account, and how to dismiss existing reminders that may pop up.
- [Instructor] Your office may use Outlook as their default mail client that connects to their exchange server, or you can use Outlook for personal or small business use with a pop or iMac email account. Let's add an exchange account. When you start outlook for the first time you're prompted to add in your email address. I'll put mine in and click the blue Continue button. Outlook has recognized that this is exchange so I'll click Allow and now I'm prompted to enter in my password.
I'll click Sign In and you'll be notified once the account set up is complete. I'll click Done because we're going to be adding another account in the next video. And here's where it tells me all of the new features in Outlook. I'll click Got It. And as this is the first time I'm opening it some things happen. I'll get some more pop ups, and I may also get some calendar reminders pop up especially if I have some overdue meetings.
I can click Dismiss or click the down triangle to the right of Dismiss and choose Dismiss All. Now we're successfully connected.
