In this video, Jess Stratton gives you a brief overview of what Outlook Customer Manager is, and how it interacts with existing emails and contacts in Outlook.
- [Instructor] Outlook Customer Manager is an add-on for Outlook for Office 365 users. You can keep track of your active customers, companies, and deals without having to leave Outlook. You can view upcoming tasks related to deals, and the Focused panel will tell you who you interact with most. You can even see how much money you have in active deals, contacts that you've worked with recently, and, in the Companies area, the Focused area will tell you which companies you work with on a regular basis.
The Customer Manager is also built-in, is a side paneling email. I can click on an email, include the Customer Manager sidebar, and in one glance, I can see any active deals that I have with that customer, any upcoming to-dos and task lists. I can see any upcoming meetings, log phone calls, and quickly see all the emails and correspondence that I've done with that customer. The Customer Manager is built so that you can do more business with your customers, and not even have to leave Outlook.
Jess begins by showing what you can and can't do in Outlook Customer Manager, and shows how to obtain the tool with your Office 365 subscription. She then walks through how to view customer data by navigating the interface and utilizing the sidebar in Microsoft Outlook. Next, Jess shows how to work with customer data in-depth, including how to set up new potential deals, set reminders for yourself and your colleagues, and share sales data with your team.
