- [Instructor] In addition to having it's own module in Outlook, you can use the Customer Manager sidebar pane to get and set valuable information about your customers all by clicking on an email from them. I have an email selected, and now I'm going to click the Customer Manager icon, located at the end of the Home ribbon tab. If this icon is gray-out, you do need the reading pane turned on in order to be able to click this icon. To turn it on, change to the View ribbon tab and in the Reading pane area, either select Right or Bottom. If this is the first time you've ever used the Customer Manager, it will take some time to prepare and gather your groups, contacts, reminders and existing appointments. All of your existing contacts will be added to the Customer Manager, though you'll be able to create more while you're using the module and directly designate them as business customers.
