Learn about two more of the most important SQL SELECT statement clauses: ORDER BY and GROUP BY. Rarely do you take the output from a SELECT statement and use it without putting it into some kind of order. The GROUP BY clause does this. In a similar fashion, you also may want to aggregate the results, such as calculating sums, averages, or totals at one or more levels, such as customer, region, or date. GROUP BY is the answer for that question.
