SQL Developer
- [Narrator] On a day to day basis, you'll be using Oracle's free GUI tool SQL developer, lets look at the features. You will use SQL developer to manage your database even start-up and shut-down your database, you'll get a birds eye view of all your databases once you have all your connections defined, copying tables from one database to another can be done in a few clicks. Of course you will be able to run quarries and update tables in your databases, if you are a report writer, you can easily develop reports and save them as a template for future use, last but not least, there are many assistant monitoring features built into SQL developer, which I'll show you in a bit. If you don't already have SQL Developer installed, it's a free download and it's a Java based app. With a self contained JBM, that runs on Windows, Mac OS and just about any Linux distribution.
